From the Press Release: The Carbon Edition of the Klaassen Razor roadbike model is an artful fusion of engineering and design. Combining Klaassen Cycles' proven craftsmanship and attention to styling and design with modern materials and technologies, this model as a whole delivers a great and refreshing cycling experience for the most demanding riders. The Razor 2.0 Road Carbon fits right into the premium segment with a weight of just 7.87 kg (size 57) for the version with 40mm high rims (picture = 58mm). To emphasise the carbon material, this first edition has a special semi-transparent paint finish, so that the carbon fabric is visible. Built up with a 'fade' from full-lacquer to semi-transparent, a slight pearl effect adds even more depth and character. Embodying both performance and style, the Klaassen Razor Multipurpose proudly unleashes horizons of Beachracer possibilities as well, fitting the essential (29”) Schwalbe 2.35 G One Speed! Our brand formula makes that it not just looks 'performance' - like the regular offer - it also looks good. That's an important difference 😉 🎨 Style accent: sand, inspired by the legendary Camel Trophy Land Rovers. This specific build is designed to accommodate a rider of 2.03 meters tall. Owner Ronald chose the stem damping from our option list. His frame is optimized for wireless shifting (less holes >> clean appearance), with a 2x12 Sram Rival AXS setup offering a lovely range that helps him finding the right cadence in every situation. For our wheels we swapped our 'standard' rim for one with a wider profile, with 30mm internal width, built by Fratelli (Spank). Black on Black DT Swiss 350 hubs and salt proof brass nipples and the building expertise of our wheelbuilding partner @wheeltecnl makes for lovely wheels. As Beachracing is all about braving the elements, Ronald opted for our Rough Pack, meaning the tougher materials for saddle and bar wrap, still in a signature Klaassen color: grey. With the desired full black beach racing tires we now created our signature visual styling by linking the upper grey color with grey elements in the lower area of the bike through dynamic Klaassen branding on the rims. CLASSIFIED UPGRADE PLUS This Klaassen rider has opted for an upgrade after a year of fun. He wanted to have a little more reach on his 1x setup and for the rougher shredding our advice to go for the Klaassen 'Rough Pack' suited him, also because he already had the gray color for tire sidewall and handlebar/saddle. -We consulted to boost the existing setup with the Classified Powershift system (see previous posts). 30.000km 🚂 This Klaassen rider is shredding like no other. In style. Putting in the miles through wind and rain, near the coast (salty etc.), this is a great proof of our quality level. 🔎Time for an inspection and Klaassen treatment at our HQ! For now we checked and cleaned stuff, regreased parts, fitted a new chain, cassette, brake pads, hood rubber, GXP BB bearing and gave the leather some TLC and this bike is ready for more! KLAASSEN x Classified | The Dutch & Belgium brands joined forces. Background: Classified and Klaassen were both (battling) in the final 3 at the 2021 Benelux @bikemotion.cc Awards (with our Multipurpose bike model concept) and now we joined forces. 🇧🇪🇳🇱 💡The (style) vision and holistic idea behind this specific build, in short: The cool part is that this Razor Multipurpose is for a Belgium customer living in the Netherlands, having passion for the cyclocross, so we visually wanted to have a Flemish/Belgian touch in the build within the normal Klaassen styling. 🦁The color Yellow would be an inspiration therefore. We did this with the populair cyclocross brand Challenge for the tires. With the notorious yellow coloured sidewall. And as you know within the famous Klaassen styling concept, the sidewall colour must be matched with the saddle and handlebar. And as we see these yellow sidewalls quite often in the premium tire world, we had the yellow leather already available, finally we could use it for a customer! We combined it with our famous silk Matt pearl white paint. And nowadays, besides the Full Hydraulic Electronical Wireless standard options we already offer(!), we also wanted to improve on the hybride setup. ➡️ So we did our usual homework, besides the nice 'theory' our practical testing the last months backed it up and confirmed the theory. We've had very enthousiastic feedback. ⚡For Ferdinand we created this Klaassen Razor Multipurpose with an extra custom twist. He was dreaming of a color called 'Winter blush' a custom color, an edgy mix of white, grey with a touch of pink. And he would love to ride some beaches AND have burgundy leather. A tough combo (no burgundy sidewall tires that wide available).
